About Vietnamese Artists at Exotic Fine Art

Exotic Fine Art is a gallery in the heart of Cannel offering an array of paintings and object d'art from around the globe. The most recent introduction being a stunning selection of original oil on canvas paintings from Vietnam presented in Monterey County exclusively at Exotic Fine Art.

Vietnamese artists are trained in the classic styles and techniques of the French Masters through Art Universities established by the French during their colonial rule decades ago. Combining this with the post 'doi moi' period starting in 1986, which literally translates to freedom of speech, and very mystic Eastern imagery and you have an original work of great beauty. The variety of style, whether abstract or realist, the color be it vibrant or muted and the number of techniques from simple to complex and others with 'Impressionistic' leanings or not, are all adapted to the artists very own style and take on composition, which means there is basically something for every taste.

Renowned Vietnamese artist Hong Viet Dung came to Scottsdale, Arizona, to host a one-man show in November 2004. Hong Viet Dung is known as one of the 'Gang of Five' from Hanoi, whose artwork was one of the first to be recognized internationally since 'doi moi'. Hong Viet Dung's show 'Realm of Enchantment' was a fantastic success with customers and browsers alike immediately falling in awe with his landscapes. In fact, due to the popularity of his work, that seemed to touch just about everybody in one way or another, an appraising article of his show was featured in the January 1 st 2005 edition of the Arizona Republic Newspaper Arts Section.
