About Dale Perkins

Dale PerkinsDale Perkins was raised in San Francisco. He earned a Masters Degree at San Francisco State University and studied at the Academy of Art, San Francisco, on a Scholarship. He was Vice President of the Society of Western Artists.

Dale has had 50 solo and group showings and is in the permanent collections at the World Trade Club, San Francisco, and the Franklin Templeton Group of Funds, San Mateo.

Art experiences include 6th Army Artist while serving in the US Army, Art Consultant with the Burlingame Schools and guest art lecturer at San Francisco State University, University of California Berkeley, College of Notre Dame and Canada Colleges. Dale conducted art workshops throughout California.

Statement: An admirer of Picasso, Winslow Homer and Van Gogh, Perkins is equally inspired by the natural world and the forms and textures of nature. It has been said that his paintings glow incandescently, sunlight warming the clear, bright colors he favors in his watercolor work. He has painted from Hong Kong to Norway, capturing sampans and fjords with his brush. He has also traveled Europe, Asia and Mexico painting.
